Before they were famous

It is interesting to see footage of famous people before they were famous. Here is one of my favourites.

Back in 1964, Florida State University produced a film called “Toward a Greater University”, as a recruitment aid for future students. One of the scenes features a crew-cut 20 year old student named James Douglas Morrison checking his mailbox for his college application, and speaking to university staff.

James Morrison briefly attended FSU, before heading west to study a the UCLA Film School in California. After James graduated from UCLA in 1965, he led a Bohemian lifestyle in nearby Venice Beach, California. Now known as Jim Morrison, he met Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore, and became the legendary and charismatic lead singer for the Doors.
